You Can’t Heal in the Middle of a Sprint…

Many of us try to do the deep healing in a stressed state, which, I get- sometimes it’s all we have! But think of it this way: it is like the body and mind running a constant sprint and someone coming up to you on the track and saying- “here, eat this good food,” “take this supplement,” “use this program,” “drink this power juice” etc.

Our systems just aren’t able to use, or process, these otherwise great steps when we are in a constant stressed state. It is, instead, running away and balancing threats and doesn’t have time, or priority, to actually utilize that new, otherwise beneficial “thing.”

I’ve seen clients spend hundreds, and thousands, of dollars on diets, programs, and products that their systems weren’t ready for...yet. The foundation usually needs to be set before our bodies can “use” another product. When stress, we are already “digesting” too much. Too much stress, too much information, too much old trauma, too much reactivity. To match that action, we can use in-action.

Letting our systems relax, if even for 5 minutes a day- can start building new pathways in the nervous system to be able to start doing the healing work, rather than constantly having to react to the daily grind and past shit we are carrying.

Every person’s relaxation can look different- everyone’s system is different- and there are sooo many great things out there that is can get overwhelming. I suggest starting with one small thing and let your system sink into it. Consistency is key to building that foundation.

If you need or want help finding the best things to rebuild your foundation, that’s one of my favorite jams. I started healing my family and myself from the ground up (always a work in progress...) and have been lucky AF to help thousands in the last 24 years. We find pretty good success here finding what works for each client and getting results. It’s what lights me up- watching you heal, and seeing how it all works!! Reach out with any questions you might have or to make an appointment. Sending much love and healing to you.
